Magic of Reading Show Summer 2026 Interest Form

Magic and Comedy Shows to Entertain and Inspire

Thank you for your interest in The Magic of Reading Show: Summer Reading Program Edition. I am currently planning 2026 summer tour and would love to learn more about your library’s needs and scheduling preferences. Your responses will help me coordinate travel efficiently and create a win‑win‑win situation for your library, its patrons, and my family’s budget.

Just to give you some numbers upfront: the regular cost of The Magic of Reading Show during the school year is $400 plus travel. For shows performed at libraries during the summer months, the rate is $300 plus travel. Travel for an individual show can range from $50 to over $800. As such, it is important for me to organize tours by region in order to help bring those costs down.

Show Length and Setup Needs – Each Magic of Reading show runs approximately 40 to 45 minutes. – For multiple shows at the same location, I require 15 minutes between performances for reset and preparation. – For shows at different locations, I need at least 40 minutes between end and start times, plus travel time depending on distance.
Preferred Timeframe
This Special Library rate is available exclusively to libraries during the summer library season (June through August). Not for larger community based events. For library performances outside of this summer window, my regular school-year rate for the Magic of Reading show applies.
Libraries that schedule back-to-back shows at the same location receive a discounted rate for each additional performance.
Age groups you expect to attend
Every show is tailored—and universally enjoyable. I customize the conversational tone and content of each performance to suit the audience’s age and setting. Whether it’s a lively group of kids, a mixed-age family crowd, or a quieter adult audience, I adjust in real time to make sure everyone feels included. At the same time, I design every show to be a fun, engaging experience for all who attend—regardless of background or age. My goal is to create shared moments of wonder, laughter, and connection that leave a lasting impression.
Why I’m asking about your maximum budget: My goal is to bring engaging shows to as many libraries in a given area as possible. When multiple libraries book together, it allows me to offer discounted “tour-level” pricing for everyone involved. However, knowing your maximum budget helps in cases where a show might be booked independently—without needing to wait for others to commit. If additional libraries do join in, your cost would then be reduced to the lower tour rate. This approach helps me plan efficiently, offer the best pricing, and ensure your library gets a great show—whether solo or as part of a group.
